Robin Hazewinkel, Silas Speckmann en Basten Krijger, die uitkomen voor Handbal Twente, zitten momenteel in Polen voor het EK beachhandbal. Speckmann en Hazewinkel maken deel uit van de sterke Oranje U17 selectie van bondscoach Danny Baijens.
De poule werd afgesloten op de eerste plek en de mannen plaatsten zich voor de kampioenspoule. In de kampioenspoule werd er afgerekend met het sterke Oekraïne. Het duel eindigde in 2 – 0. Om 16.15 uur moet het team van bondscoach Baijens aantreden tegen Roemenië.
Cornee Regts, die volgend zaalseizoen uitkomt voor Handbal Twente, maakt ook deel uit van de oranje selectie U17 beachhandbal.
